So I was lurking in the Art Post forum of Gaia about a half hour ago. I like lurking there, because its fun to see how other people draw.

I came across a particular thread where a girl posted some avi art. The hands were merely scatchy lines scribbled over one another, the hair was one big chunk, and it had no face. I know her reason for the facelessness was a good one, as I've had the same issue. It where no matter how many times you draw in an expression, it just doesn't fit, so you end up leaving it blank.
Well, anyway. She ask for honest feedback, and the first guy on the scene told her:

"It needs anatomy work and a face. I read the note about the face, but it still creeps me the hell out. Reminds me of those Japanese ghosts that look normal from the back, but when they turn around the only thing on their head is a black mouth. No eyes. No nose. No ears. Ew.

I reread the last part, and thought 'Hey, I need to work on anatomy too.' My anatomy work pretty much sucks, and although I don't want to completely change how I draw for the sake of improving, I do want to improve.

I've been to literally thousands of site and read numerous books telling me that what they have to offer can help me fix my arty issues, and alas, each has failed miserably.

I clicked on the link anyway, because it neve hurts to try, and was intersted in what I found. Simple, but efficient. I click on a 'hands' link, eyeballed an image or two, and clicked around, which is cool because all the mdels and stuff are 3D. I looked at a model of a hand palm facing out and tried drawing it free hand.
It didn't really work, and then I did the unthinkable: I actually drew in the joints and then sketched over it. It looked badass. I was viciously pleased with myself.

I have no idea what possesed me to do it, I guess its because I could move the model around, so I knew that there were parts I couldn't see. Sounds stupid, but it helps that I've struck this.
Maybe I'll get better. I hope so. I love to draw. And I hate the level I'm still at.
So maybe I'll actually draw something worth looking at.

Things I did Today:

-Got up late.
-Skipped breakfast.
-Dyed hair red.
-Decided to put off art commision from Gaia.
-Bought some milk.
-Ate stolen muffin.
-Bought some pizza.
-lol'd at cousin's blue hands.
-Decided to have mini Resident Evil marathon.
-Refused to sleep early.
-Accepted the fact that cousin has thiefed my favorite pillow and my general sleeping spot.

Well, lets see...

:I lost my camera, so no new arts for a while[not that anyone cares]

:I bought some art pens, because, you guessed it, I lost my old one.

:I work opening tomorrow, and I'm still awake.

:I lost my sister's iPod charger, so she's rather dipleased with me.

:My other sister finished FFTactics today, which pisses me off, because its MY game, and she wouldn't let me play it til she beat it, and she's attempting to do the same thing with my FFVI:Advance, to the point where she's killing my NDS, and I haven't been able to play it in over a month. *fume*

:My best friend is stalking me.

:I STILL haven't been able to pay for my plane ticket, and the date is getting ever closer.

:I want to go shower, but its late, and we use street water, and its been cloudy all day, which means the water's gotta be FREZZING.

:I feel like puking my guts out, but can't call in sick to work because I'm OPENING.

:My computer's been running hella slow, and its pissing me off.

:I'm struggling to finish the smut story I've been woking on for 2 simply facts.
1)I'm a virgin, and a prudy one at that.
2)It total boy on boy action, and I really don't feel like doing research while sharing a room with my 11 year old sister constantly peering over my fucking shoulder.


Mmk. I'm done bitching for the moment.

I finally got Photoshop CS8 on my computer. *cries*
Its...so....beautiful.....*snifflesob*
Haha, I'm super excited about it and hopefully I'll be able to figure it out and make something nice with it. I practiced on a picture, but I don't want to post it til I know exactly who drew it. Otherwise, I ain't posting it.
